Boulder City Council Approved Easing of Regulations for ADUs
Boulder City Council has unanimously approved easing regulations for accessory dwelling units (ADUs), such as removing a saturation limit in certain neighborhoods and increasing the maximum square footage. The goal is to encourage more diverse housing options, including affordable ones. The changes, set to begin in September, will offer residents more options when adding ADUs to their properties, while still requiring the property owner to occupy either the main residence or the ADU.
